Visiting this website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from other sites. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use that information to identify you.
If we have contacted you about our services
This part applies if you are a finance director, CFO, financial controller or operations director we have approached, or may approach, about our services.
What we hold
- Your name, job title and work email address, and the name of your company.
- Where we found them, and the date.
- When we wrote to you, and any reply, including any request not to be contacted again.
We hold nothing else about you: no home address, no personal phone number, and nothing bought from a data broker.
Where it came from
One of: your company's own website; the Companies House register of officers; your public LinkedIn profile, read by a person; a public announcement or press release about your company; or an introduction from someone who knows you, in which case our first message names them. Company details come from Companies House, published under the Open Government Licence.
Why, and on what legal basis
To tell you about a service relevant to your role. The legal basis is our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in finding customers for a new business by writing to the people whose role the service concerns. We have assessed that interest against your rights and expectations in a written legitimate interests assessment, which we will send you on request.
We write only to limited companies and LLPs, never to sole traders or ordinary partnerships, and we write only to people in finance or operations roles.
How long we keep it
| Situation | What happens, and when |
|---|---|
| We found your details but never contacted you | Deleted after 90 days |
| We contacted you and you did not reply | Your personal details are removed after 180 days; we keep only the company and the dates |
| Our record that an email was sent | Your email address is removed from it after two years; the record that we sent lawfully is kept |
| You asked us not to contact you | We keep a minimal note of that request indefinitely, so we never contact you again |
| You replied and we started working together | Kept for as long as the engagement and our legal and accounting obligations require |
Who else processes it
- Microsoft, which hosts our email (Microsoft 365).
- Anthropic, which provides the AI service Sienna runs on and processes the text Sienna reads and writes under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Other IT services we use to run the business, such as messaging and backup services.
These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. For users in the UK, Anthropic's service is provided by Anthropic Ireland, Limited, and Ireland, as a country in the European Economic Area, has full adequacy status under UK law; Microsoft and Cloudflare apply the safeguards set out in their own terms, and we will give details on request.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, and we make no decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights
- Object. Reply "no" to any message, or email us, and we will not contact you or anyone at your company again. For direct marketing this right is absolute.
- Access a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Erase it, or restrict how we use it. If you have objected, we keep only the minimal note needed to honour your objection.
Email sam@dtventures.co.uk. We reply within one month.
