The process everyone has stopped seeing.

Somewhere in your month there is a job everyone has accepted: a pack rebuilt by hand from ledger exports, a reconciliation only one person knows how to do, a report assembled from four places. It is not broken enough to be a project and too dull to reach anyone's roadmap, so it keeps costing a named person a day, every week or every month.

We work with finance directors and CFOs at UK companies of roughly 50 to 250 people. Typical examples:

  • PE-backed companiesThe monthly board and investor pack, and the lender covenant check, built from ledger exports in Excel.
  • Wholesale distributorsSupplier rebate calculations from the agreements and purchase exports.
  • Multi-site hospitalityTill, card-settlement and bank reconciliation across sites, at totals level. Staff tips and tronc are out of scope.

Two steps, both fixed price

Diagnose first. Build only if it fits.

Step one

Written diagnostic

£750fixed

Three working days from cleared payment and your questionnaire and exports.

  • You answer a short written questionnaire and send one real export of the process.
  • You receive a map of the process as it runs today, a draft acceptance page of three to six criteria each checkable in five minutes, and a plain answer on whether it fits a five-day sprint.
  • If nothing fits, the report says so and why.

Credited in full against the sprint if you go ahead within 30 days of receiving the report.

Step two

Five-day sprint

£3,000fixed

Paid in two halves: £1,500 when you sign the acceptance page, £1,500 when every line passes.

  • The one process automated end to end, running in your own account.
  • A dashboard you can read without asking anyone.
  • A written guide and an annotated walkthrough of your own system.
  • All the code, yours outright. No licence, no platform, nothing to renew.
  • Fourteen days of fixes after handover at no extra cost.

Not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. No expenses are added.

Who you would be dealing with.

We say plainly that an AI agent does the work, because it does, and because it is the reason the price is fixed and the week stays a week.

Sienna

The AI agent that does the work

Sienna scopes the process from your written answers and files, builds the automation, tests it against your own history and writes the guide. Sienna runs on Anthropic's Claude models.

Sam Usher

Sam Usher

The accountable person

Director of Laid Off Thames Ltd, which trades as DTVentures. Sam signs every engagement letter and answers for the work. If anything goes wrong, he is the person you hold to it.

How it works.

Everything is done in writing unless you ask otherwise, so there is a record of every decision. A short video call with Sam is available if you want one.

  1. You email one sentence describing the process. If it is not a fit, we say so.
  2. Diagnostic.Written questionnaire and one real export. You receive the process map, the draft acceptance page and our answer on fit.
  3. You agree the acceptance page and sign the engagement letter.Only then is the £1,500 deposit payable. The £750 is credited if you go ahead within 30 days.
  4. Day 1: access is proved end to end.An actual read from the source and an actual write to the destination, logged.
  5. Days 2 to 4: the build.Against your real data, in your own account. You answer any questions within a working day.
  6. Day 5: handover. We check the acceptance page with you line by line, and the person who ran the manual version runs the new one.
  7. Fourteen days of fixes. After that there is no retainer and nothing to cancel.

From you: one named person who can say "yes, that is done", one real export, access at the lowest permission level that works, and answers within a working day.

The guarantee.

You are not relying on our judgement about whether we delivered. You are relying on a page you wrote the test for.

Before you pay a deposit, we write down what "done" means: one page, three to six criteria, each one something you can check in five minutes and get the same answer as anyone else. Usually the strongest line is that the new system reproduces four weeks of your own history and matches the copies you already have.

On day 5 we check that page with you, line by line. If every line passes, the balance is due. If any single line fails, the £1,500 deposit is refunded in full within five working days, and you keep whatever has been built. If your named person and we disagree about a line, that line counts as failed.

The full terms are in the engagement letter, which you receive with the diagnostic questionnaire and sign before any payment.

What the output looks like.

A board and lender pack built end to end from a dummy company's ledger exports, showing the manual version, the automated version and a covenant check: download the example pack (PDF).

The example uses an invented company, not client data. We have not yet delivered a sprint to a client, and we will not show you testimonials or results we do not have.

What we do not do.

  • No personal data and no payment-card data. Processes that need either are declined before any money is taken.
  • No write access to production accounting or banking systems, and no payment initiation. We ask for read-only exports.
  • No hosting, on-call cover or monthly retainer. It runs in your account.
  • No data migration, no second process within one sprint, and no integrations that need a paid connector licence you do not already hold.

Where your files go, and how long we keep them: how we handle your data.

The facts you would check.

How to start

Email one sentence describing the process you would point this at.

If it is a fit, we send the diagnostic questionnaire. If it is not, we say so, and it has cost you the two minutes it took to read this.
